Cooking for Helping Hands

Last Friday the smaller children at church had a cooking for Helping Hands afternoon after school...since our church day was Saturday and Sat. night! Dr. Phil Nanney was the guest chef and made it so fun for all the children to get to be involved in the process. They had several different groups at different stations and would rotate every 10 minutes so everyone got to do everything. They made 4 big Italian dinner for 4 baskets....included the spagetti, bread with special dipping oil.....beuatiful spring mix salad and then brownies.

Here is Campbell and MK smashing the tomatoes with their hands....so funny!

Putting the herbs into the dipping oil....yum yum...

Campbell and sweet little Kennon.....

Cooking wears little girls out...so they needed snacks afterwards.

They all so much fun and the dinner baskets were a BIG hit at Helping Hands Saturday! Our church was so excited to not only reach our goal of 20,000 that day...but far exceed it at over 26,000 dollars!!! It was a Helping Hand record!
